My Beginning
My story as a cuber began in late 2017, when I decided to finally learn to solve the puzzle that no one can figure out on their own. I drilled the beginner's method that I learnt until I averaged roughly a minute and a half of solving time.
After stepping away from the cube for over a year, I made the effort to pick it back up and begin learning the methods, algorithms and skills needed to push my times down further and further.
Achievements
In May 2019 I attended my first WCA competition, getting a 3x3 average of 21.39 seconds. 7 years and over 75 more competitions later, I have lowered my official 3x3 average all the way down to 7.78 seconds.
I have broken 6 national records, won multiple championship medals and reached 3rd in Australia for the sum of my ranks.
Why I Cube
The feeling of being able to push yourself further than you thought you could is the number one feeling I experienced when trying to improve myself. I want to be someone who can enable that in others.
On top of that, the places I have taken myself and people I have met all from competing are now my most unforgettable parts of my life!
What I Do Now
I'm currently a student at The University of Melbourne, and I do my best to always find time to better my cubing skills on top of my studies and other pursuits!
I also have experience in teaching basic to advanced cubing from my time working as a coach at Spark Education.
